Christian IX (8. april 1818 – 29. januar 1906 var konge af Danmark fra 1863 til 1906 samt hertug af Slesvig, Holsten og Lauenborg fra 1863 til 1864.
Christian giftede sig med sin halvkusine, Prinsesse Louise af Hessen, i 1842. Deres seks børn giftede sig ind i flere af Europas fyrstehuse og skaffede Christian 9. tilnavnet Europas svigerfar.
Christian IX (April 8, 1818 - January 29, 1906 was King of Denmark from 1863 to 1906 as well as Duke of Schleswig, Holstein and Lauenborg from 1863 to 1864.
Christian married his half-cousin, Princess Louise of Hesse, in 1842. Their six children married into several of Europe's princely homes and gave Christian 9. the nicknamed Europe's father-in-law.
